All the wonderful autumn things start to come through such as – mushrooms, pears, apples, lemons, pumpkins, pears, leeks, beetroot, brussel sprouts, parsnips, rhubarb, figs, silverbeet and beans.

You should make the most of gorgeous apples in crumble and pies. Fill the cupboard with jams and chutney and turn bulging pumpkins into hot soup to ward off the evening chill.

Because there is such great produce in abundance during autumn, it is easy to cook with seasonal produce and create a wide variety of healthy meals. Cooking in and with the season means that you can shop locally and the food will be fresher and cheaper.
