Spring is the perfect season to be using lemons as it’s the time of year they are in abundance.

If you don’t have access to lemons on a tree at home, a neighbour or friends tree, they are now quite cheap at your local fruit and vegetable supplier.

Lemons are such a great food because they are so versatile! They can be used in baking sweet treats; for savoury meals or even add them to your hot and cold drinks for a little bit of a ZING.

If you’re not yet sure what you are wanting to use your lemons for, we have a few delicious recipes below which we are hoping will spark some inspiration.

Preserved Lemons

Preserved lemons have a strong association with Middle Eastern and North African cuisines and their unique zesty, salty, yet mellow flavour permeates many of the traditional meat and couscous dishes.

Strips of preserved lemon can also be added to salads, soups, dressings, or mixed with olives and other appetisers.
